Adult African "Royal Priesthood"

"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light."

 

Royal Priesthood is a component for adults 18 years or older, that focuses on ministering the Word of God utilizing African technique and an in-depth understanding of ministry.  1 Peter 2:9 reminds Royal Priesthood who they are and Isaiah 61:1 reminds them that the Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon them because the Lord has appointed them to bring good news to the poor.

 

Class Objectives:

 

• To minister the Word of God effectively through movement based on an in depth study.

• To bring forth African movement in worship services and outreach engagements when appropriate.

• To expand their dance vocabulary by studying and choreographing utilizing movements from a variety of African countries.
